Bundled up, hundreds came to honor Martin Luther King Jr. at annual York parade

Hundreds of spectators honored Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Saturday at the 43rd Annual MLK parade in downtown York.

Bands marched, ROTC members kept the pace and beauty queens atop vintage cars waved.

Some politicians waved from within the comfort of warm cars, while others braved the cold to shake hands and walk alongside stretch limos.

Parade-watchers bundled up in beanies and puff coats and others sat in chairs under warm blankets. A fire truck blew its horn to the delight of small children.

Clinton College students wearing sashes rode on a float, while members of fraternities and sororities walked along and waved.
