The city of Rock Hill Youth football teams will hold a scrimmage at Hargett Park on Saturday.

There will be three scrimmages, and all of them will be against teams from Chester. The Small Fry game will start at 10 a.m., with the Pee Wee contest set for noon. The event will be concluded with the Rock Hill Gra-Y All-Star team playing at 2 p.m. The admission for the scrimmage is $4 for adults and $2 for children.

The Rock Hill youth football program recently crowned its Small Fry and Pee Wee champions, and these scrimmages are the next step in getting ready for the state playoffs.

The coaches in each division have chosen their 25-player All-Star teams, and practice for both squads has already started in preparation for the postseason. This scrimmage will give the coaches a chance to evaluate their personnel and see where they are in their total preparation plan.

“They are dedicated to the game of football,” he said. “It is super important that they are providing quality leadership for our youth.”

Following the scrimmage this Saturday, the teams will continue practicing before hosting the first round of the playoffs at District Three Stadium on Dec. 4. The first round will consist of six games. Each division will play two games.
