High school football previews for quarterfinal playoff games in the Rock Hill region

Eight teams left in each respective class as things start to heat up in the high school football state playoffs.

Two Rock Hill-area teams look to replicate their previous home successes on the road, while a state semifinals rematch happens a round earlier this year. All games are scheduled for a 7:30 p.m. kickoff on Friday.

Greenville (9-3) at Northwestern (11-1)

Northwestern comes into the game following a 55-7 victory against Greenwood last week, while Greenville secured a comeback road victory against top-seeded Greer 24-21. This game is a rematch of last year’s upper state finals game, a 33-28 Trojans victory.
