Below are the nominees for The Herald’s high school athlete of the week.

Sarah Anderson-Wildy, Rock Hill girls’ basketball: The 6-foot-2 senior scored two points, had six rebounds, three blocks and one steal in a 58-39 win over Clover, Jan. 23.

Anderson-Wildy also scored five points, grabbed seven rebounds, six blocks and two steals in a 50-44 victory at Spring Valley, Jan. 26.

Anderson-Wildy is averaging 3.1 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 2.3 blocks for a Rock Hill team (19-3) that has won 13 games in a row this season.

Lance Barnes, Catawba Ridge boys’ basketball: The 6-foot-3 sophomore scored 34 points, grabbed six rebounds, five steals and two assists in a 60-45 victory at South Pointe, Jan. 26.

Barnes also scored 20 points, had nine rebounds, four assists and one steal in a 67-36 win over Northwestern, Jan. 23.

Barnes is averaging 19.6 points, 4.9 rebounds, 4.4 assists and three steals for Catawba Ridge (19-2) this season.

Eliza Baskins, Lancaster girls’ basketball: The 5-foot-7 junior scored 14 points, had nine rebounds and four assists in a 51-45 overtime win at Indian Land, Jan. 23.

Baskins scored 29 points, had eight rebounds, three assists and two steals in a 47-26 win at Northwestern, Jan. 26.

The next day, Baskins had two points and four rebounds in an 83-29 loss at South Pointe.

Baskins is averaging 14.5 points, 5.3 rebounds, two steals and 1.5 assists per game for Lancaster (4-13) this season.

Zeke Clyburn, Andrew Jackson boys’ basketball: The 6-foot-5 sophomore scored 15 points, had eight rebounds, three assists and one steal in a 68-22 win at Chesterfield, Jan. 23.

The next night, Clyburn had a double-double with 17 points, 10 rebounds, four assists and three steals in a 74-57 victory over North Central.

Clyburn had another double-double with 15 points, 13 rebounds and two assists in a 71-50 win at York Prep, Jan. 26.

Clyburn is averaging 12.9 points, 9.6 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 1.4 steals per game for an Andrew Jackson squad (17-3) that has won eight consecutive games this season.

Ja’Nyia Cunningham, South Pointe girls’ basketball: The 6-foot freshman scored 22 points, grabbed eight rebounds and four steals in a 90-8 win over York, Jan. 23.

Cunningham had 18 points, nine rebounds and one block in an 82-31 win over Catawba Ridge, Jan. 26.

The next day, Cunningham added 20 points, 10 rebounds and two steals in an 83-29 win over Lancaster.

Cunningham is averaging 18 points, nine rebounds, two assists and two steals per game for a

South Pointe team (20-2) that has won 18 straight games this season.

Caden Giles, Nation Ford boys’ basketball: The 6-foot-11 senior scored 18 points, grabbed 18 rebounds and had two blocks to lead Nation Ford to a 68-62, overtime win at rival, Fort Mill, Jan. 23.

Giles also had eight points, seven rebounds, two assists and a block in a 56-54 loss at Clover, Jan. 26.

Giles is averaging 9.6 points, 9.5 rebounds and three blocks per game for Nation Ford (10-11) this season.

Jaylon Hoover, Clover boys’ basketball: The 6-foot-1 senior scored 14 points in a 68-38 win over at Rock Hill, Jan. 23.

Hoover also scored 13 points to go with three rebounds and four steals in a 56-54 win over Nation Ford, Jan. 26.

Hoover is averaging 15 points, two rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.3 steals per game for Clover (12-9) this season.

Payton Munsey, York Prep girls’ basketball: The 6-foot senior center scored nine points, had 11 rebounds and three blocks in a 47-17 win at North Central, Jan. 23.

The next day, Munsey had 20 points, 12 rebounds and four blocks in a 47-22 win over York.

Munsey finished off the week with 11 points, five rebounds and three assists in a 74-31 loss to Andrew Jackson, Jan. 26.

York Prep is 10-9 overall this season.

Chris Propst, Northwestern wrestling: The Trojans’ senior won the 113-pound title at the Region III, AAAA tournament, Jan. 27.

Propst is 27-6 overall this season.

Skylar Young, Indian Land girls’ basketball: The 5-foot-6 sophomore scored 13 points, grabbed eight rebounds, and two steals in a 51-45, overtime loss to Lancaster, Jan. 23.

Young also scored nine points, had six rebounds, and two steals in a 43-24 win at York, Jan. 26.

Young is averaging 14.6 points, 4.2 rebounds and 1.6 steals for Indian Land (7-13) this season.
