Which Rock Hill-area teams made the SC prep football media poll this week?

Ahead of their high school football showdown Friday, Rock Hill’s Northwestern and South Pointe high schools are near the top of two statewide polls this week.

In the latest S.C. Prep Football Media Poll, Northwestern is No. 3 in the 5A rankings. The Trojans received one vote for the top spot. State power Dutch Fork is No. 1 followed by Gaffney.

In the 4A poll, South Pointe (2-1) is No. 2, behind Westside (2-0), which all 21 first-place votes.
