Carolinas Top 25: Heading to Week 6, here are the best high school football teams in NC, SC
One new team joins the Carolinas Top 25 poll this week.
The poll, compiled by staffers with McClatchy media companies throughout the Carolinas, ranks the best high school football teams in North and South Carolina. The poll appears weekly.
This week, three of the top five teams are from South Carolina, but Weddington High, in Union County, N.C., remains in the top spot.
One new team made the poll: Richland Northeast, from Columbia, S.C. The Cavaliers (5-0) beat Camden 26-15 last week and host Lancaster at 3 p.m. Saturday.
