Devan Erby, Rock Hill football: In a 30-14 win over Nation Ford, Erby, a sophomore, rushed 21 times for 107 yards and a touchdown. He also caught two passes.

Evan Harrison, Northwestern football: The 5-foot-6, 140-pound receiver had 11 catches for 103 yards in a 56-40 win over Fort Mill on Oct. 10.

Harrison has 27 catches for 302 yards and two touchdowns for Northwestern (7-1) this season.

Jamol Horton, Indian Land football: The 5-foot-10, 182-pound senior running back rushed for 147 yards and two touchdowns on 25 carries in a 34-7 win at Catawba Ridge to help Indian Land remain undefeated at 7-0 this season on Oct. 10.

Horton also had one catch for 13 yards in the victory.

Horton has rushed for 911 yards and 10 touchdowns for the Warriors this season.

Ella Nighbor, Clover girls’ cross-country: The Blue Eagles’ senior ran a course-record 17:55.12 to win the Girls’ International 5K at the Bob Jenkins’ Coaches’ Classic in Newberry on Oct. 11.

Nighbor, who won the race by nearly 13 seconds over the field, also helped Clover to a ninth-place finish at the same event.

Kaylee Rovenstine, Fort Mill girls’ cross-country: The Yellow Jackets’ junior ran a 18:34.33 to finish fourth in the Girls’ International 5K at the Bob Jenkins’ Coaches’ Classic in Newberry on Oct. 11.

Rovenstine’s run helped the Fort Mill girls’ cross-country team to a first-place finish at the same meet.
