Rex Bumgarner, Charlotte Catholic soccer: The Cougars’ junior forward had a goal and an assist in a 3-0 win over Sun Valley on Oct. 22.

Bumgarner has 16 goals and eight assists for Charlotte Catholic (17-2-1) this season.

Price Fee, Metrolina Christian cross-country: The Warriors’ senior ran a personal and school-record 15:47.40 to finish 14th at the NCISAA 4A state championships on Oct. 25.

Fee’s efforts also helped Metrolina Christian to a Charlotte-area best third-place finish at the same meet.

Jace Garrett, Garinger soccer: The Wildcats’ senior netted a hat trick (three goals) and had one assist in an 8-0 win over Hopewell on Oct. 20.

Garinger (14-7-2) also lost 1-0 at South Mecklenburg on Oct. 22.

Garrett has 25 goals and 12 assists for Garinger this season.

Ben Horgan, Gaston Day soccer: The Spartans’ senior scored the game-tying goal in a 2-1 overtime win over Fayetteville Academy in the NCISAA 2A state semifinals on Oct. 21.

Horgan also scored the lone goal in a 4-1 loss Caldwell Academy in the NCISAA 2A state championship game on Oct. 25.

Horgan finished the season with 38 goals and 23 assists for Gaston Day (16-4) this season.

Matthew Kulyak, Ardrey Kell soccer: The Knights’ senior forward scored a goal in a 2-1 win over Ballantyne Ridge on Oct. 21.

Kulyak also had two more goals in a 5-3 victory over East Mecklenburg on Oct. 23.

Kulyak has 33 goals and six assists for Ardrey Kell (15-3-4) this season.

Matthew Perrone, Providence cross-country: The Panthers’ senior ran a 16:32.58 to finish 11th at the 8A West Regional at McAlpine Creek Park on Oct. 25.

Perrone’s run also helped Providence to a sixth-place regional finish the same day.

Michael Rivlin, Marvin Ridge cross-country: The Mavericks’ senior ran a 15:38.85 to win the 7A West Regional at McAlpine Creek Park on Oct. 25.

Rivlin’s run also helped Marvin Ridge to a regional title the same day.

Eli Rush, North Lincoln cross-country: The Knights’ junior ran a 16:20.67 to finish third at the 5A West Regional at Tryon International Equestrian in Mill Spring on Oct. 25.

Rush’s run also helped North Lincoln to a regional title the same day, winning by 18 points.

Aldahir Sanchez, Concord soccer: The Spiders’ junior scored one goal and had two assists in a 3-2 win at Jay M. Robinson on Oct. 21.

Concord (17-4-2) also lost 2-0 to Salisbury on Oct. 23.

Sanchez has six goals and 11 assists for Concord this season.
