Jaden Hardnett, Olympic: The 6-3 junior scored 30 points in a 57-54 overtime loss to Palisades on Nov. 18.

Hardnett also scored 16 points and had eight rebounds in an 86-66 loss to Jay M. Robinson on Nov. 21.

Hardnett finished off the week with 18 points and six rebounds in an 87-51 loss at Myers Park at the George Lynch Invitational on Nov. 22.

Amari Melton, Forest Hills: The 6-1 senior guard scored 22 points, had five assists and three rebounds in a 78-58 win at Albemarle on Nov. 18.

Melton also scored 10 points to go with two rebounds, four assists and three steals in a 59-55 win over Porter Ridge on Nov. 19.

Forest Hills is 2-0 this season.

Braden Miller, Lake Norman: The 6-8 junior center had 18 points, going 7 for 8 from the field, with 12 rebounds and seven assists in a 74-46 win over Pine Lake Prep on Nov. 18.

Miller also had 18 points on 9 of 10 shooting to go with 13 rebounds and three assists in an 81-69 loss to Hickory Ridge on Nov. 21.

Lake Norman is 1-1 this season.

Dylan Morrison, Ardrey Kell: The 6-2 senior scored a then career-high 18 points to go with three rebounds, two assists and a steal in a 60-56 overtime win over Cuthbertson on Nov. 18.

Morrison scored another career-high with 20 points in a 72-63 victory at Marvin Ridge on Nov. 21.

Morrison is averaging 13.3 points per game for Ardrey Kell (2-1) this season.

Cameron Newman, Gaston Christian: The 6-1 senior guard scored 31 points, had five rebounds, five assists and nine steals in an 81-32 win at Metrolina Christian on Nov. 17.

The next night, Newman poured in 27 points, had four rebounds, six assists and two steals in a 67-48 victory over Victory Christian.

Newman finished off the week with earning the game’s most valuable player honors after he scored 23 points, five rebounds and six assists in a 72-57 win over Queens Grant in the George Lynch Invitational at Myers Park on Nov. 22.

Gaston Christian, which also won 91-43 at Carolina Day, Nov. 21, is 9-0 this season.

Cooper Perkins, Mount Pleasant Basketball: The 6-4 junior scored 30 points in a 74-54 loss to Lake Norman Charter on Nov. 18.

Perkins followed that up with a school-record 47 points (single-game record) in a 74-68 comeback win at Concord on Nov. 20.

Perkins finished off the week with 24 points in a 70-66 win over Central Cabarrus in the Cabarrus County Tip-off at Cox Mill on Nov. 22.

Perkins is averaging 33.6 points per game for Mount Pleasant (2-1) this season.

Nick Whitener, North Lincoln: The 6-3 junior forward had 18 points and 15 rebounds in a 72-61 win over Lincoln Charter on Nov. 18.
