  • Boozer twins make national ad debut in State Farm spot during NCAA Tournament.
  • Commercial scenes show SUV crash, hydrant spray and brothers arguing over blame.
  • Ad spot features Kevin Miles and ends with wrecker driver calling former NBA star dad.

No one questions their basketball talent.

But as actors?

Duke’s Cameron and Cayden Boozer recently took part in a State Farm commercial titled “WIll You Be There.” There has been a parking accident, their SUV ramming over a fire hydrant – the water spewing high over their heads – as the two stand nose to nose discussing who was responsible.

Watching but not refereeing in the 30-second ad is “Jake of State Farm.” That’s actor Kevin Miles, who appears in several State Farm spots. For the Boozers, it was a first and the first national advertisement for the twin brothers.

Asked Wednesday who was the better actor, Cam said, “Me, obviously.”

To which Cayden countered: “I’m the best.”

Cam: “He’s lying.”

Cayden: “That’s ridiculous.”

Cayden laughed, adding, “I just have that swag. I always take pride in trying to be better at something, so obviously I’m a better actor and we can call it a day.”

The ad ends with the brothers both shouting “You call Dad!” – that being former Duke star Carlos Boozer – before the wrecker driver settles it by saying, “I’ll call dad.”

The ad was first shown during the NCAA Selection Sunday telecast and will continue through the NCAA Tournament.
