Sophie Cunningham Reveals Next Public Appearance Amid Injury
Sophie Cunningham didn't play in the Indiana Fever's game against the Chicago Sky on Thursday due to an elbow injury. It was the first contest she missed this season after playing in 11 straight games and averaging 8.7 points, 2.5 rebounds and 1.7 assists.
Fortunately, the latest report on Cunningham's injury indicates that the problem is not serious, with the Fever not viewing it as a long-term issue.
Cunningham has also been upgraded for the Fever's upcoming game against the Connecticut Sun, with the team listing her as "probable" for the showdown.
The veteran guard herself doesn't appear bothered by her injury. In fact, Cunningham even shared that she's scheduled to make a public appearance soon in Indiana.
On her Instagram story, Cunningham shared an announcement about her meet-and-greet event at Combat Ops Indianapolis on June 28. There will be autograph and photo sessions at the event, which is scheduled to last one and a half hours.
Cunningham is only in her second year with the Fever after the team traded for her during the 2025 offseason. Despite that, she has quickly become a fan favorite in Indiana, thanks to her role as an enforcer.

The 29-year-old guard continues to make headlines for the Fever. In fact, in their win against the Mystics, she received plenty of praise for her on-point and well-timed pass to Caitlin Clark that led to the game-winning triple.
It remains to be seen when Cunningham will be able to return to action for the Fever, but clearly, she's doing well on and off the court.
