Opening day of Big South baseball tourney rained out

The opening day of the 2017 Big South Conference Baseball Championship Tournament at Lexington County Baseball Stadium has been washed out by heavy rain and will be rescheduled for Wednesday, weather permitting.

The tournament is set to resume at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday with the exact schedule to be determined. Big South regular season champion Winthrop is scheduled to play No 8 seed Campbell. When/if the game is played, it can be viewed on the Big South Network.
