Former South Carolina Gamecock Bree Hall has signed with the WNBA’s Golden State Valkyries, the team announced Wednesday.

Hall was selected by the Indiana Fever with the 20th overall pick in April’s WNBA Draft. She was one of three Gamecocks taken in the draft along with Te-Hina Paopao and Sania Feagin.

She made an appearance in one of the Fever’s preseason games. In a matchup against the Brazilian National Team, she played 16 minutes, scored nine points and had four rebounds. Hall was ultimately waived by the Fever on May 5 during preseason training camp.

She will be available to make her in-season WNBA debut on Thursday when the Valkyries play the Fever. She will wear No. 21 for Golden State.

Hall will reunite with former Gamecock teammate Laeticia Amihere, who was just recently brought back to the Valkyries’ roster. The two overlapped for the 2021-22 and 2022-23 seasons at South Carolina and won the 2022 national title together.

Amihere signed with Golden State in early February but was cut days before the beginning of the regular season, despite a strong performance in training camp. Amihere was signed by the Valkyires, again, on June 8. Since then she’s averaged eight points across two games for Golden State.

With Amihere and Hall both in the WNBA, that brings the total number of former South Carolina players on rosters in the league to 11.
