Chester hires new football coach
Chester High School hired a football coach on Tuesday.
Maurice Flowers was approved by the Chester County School Board and will assume his role as the Cyclones' coach immediately.
Flowers comes from West Charlotte, where he coached one season and had a 12-3 record.
He replaces Victor Floyd, who led Chester to a 12-3 record this past season and a second-place finish for the Class AAA state championship. Floyd left to become coach at Brunswick (Ga.) High School.
