High school notes: three Lewisville High pitchers combine for no-hitter

Three Lewisville High School baseball pitchers combined to throw a no-hitter in the Lions 9-0 win over North Central on Monday.

After playing four games over the weekend, coach Billy Keels had already decided to split up the innings among Evan Sisk, Trey Keels and Drew Colvin. Sisk, a senior signed with College of Charleston, struck out five of the first nine batters, before Keels took over for the fourth and fifth frames. The sophomore faced the minimum six batters, striking out two, before Colvin pitched the final two innings, walking two, but striking out three. Both batters were ultimately picked off, the final one for the last out of the game.

According to Billy Keels, Monday’s no-hitter was the school’s first in five years.
