York halts Northwestern region streak
The York Cougars pushed across the winning run in the eighth inning and edged the Northwestern Trojans 4-3 in a Region 3-4A game on Thursday.
The loss ended Northwestern’s 39-game region winning streak.
Hunter Horne picked up the victory for York, while Tripp Barringer took the loss for Northwestern.
John Moorefield led the Cougars with two hits, including a double, and he drove in one run. Harrison Childers added a double and drove in a pair of runs for York.
