Mitch Walters to coach in HS baseball all-star game, six locals selected to play
South Carolina high school baseball all-star games will be played May 23 to 25 at Lexington High School.
Mitch Walters will coach the North squad in the North-South Select game, which pits the best players from the top half of the state against the lower half’s best.
Northwestern’s Will Gardiner and South Pointe’s Bo Taylor were selected to play in that game.
And the North-South all-star game will be held the same weekend, with four more local players involved. South Pointe’s Stephen Thompson and York’s Thomas Caldwell will represent the 4A/3A North against their Lower State counterparts, while Fort Mill’s Kobie MacKinnon and Lewisville’s Drew Colvin will team up on the 5A/2A/1A North squad.
