Sindarius Thornwell returning to Lancaster Aug. 26 to hold basketball camps
Former Lancaster Bruin and South Carolina Gamecock star Sindarius Thornwell is holding basketball camps Saturday, Aug. 26 in Lancaster.
The camps are open to boys and girls in kindergarten through 12th grade. A camp for kids in kindergarten through third grade will be held from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Lancaster Recreation Department, followed by a camp for fourth through 12th graders at Lancaster High School from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. the same day.
The camp costs $35 per person and includes hands-on instruction from Thornwell and other coaches, scrimmages, contests and fundamental skill stations and a Thornwell autograph (campers provide item to be signed). Thornwell was drafted by the Los Angeles Clippers this summer after leading the Gamecocks to the Final Four in April.
