High school roundup: Fort Mill wins region opener in volleyball

VOLLEYBALL

Fort Mill 3, Northwestern 1

Fort Mill defeated Northwestern 3-1 in a Region 4-5A match at Fort Mill Tuesday night.

Fort Mill won the opening game 25-22, but Northwestern tied it with a 25-18 win in the second game. Fort Mill won the next two games by scores of 25-13 and 25-20.

Fort Mill picked up its 12th win of the year and is 1-0 in region play, while Northwestern is 0-1 in the region.

Nation Ford 3, Clover 1

Nation Ford toppled Clover 3-1 in a Region 4-5A match at Clover Tuesday night.

Nation Ford won the opening game 25-11, but Clover came back to win the second game 25-21. Nation Ford won the next two games by counts of 25-16 and 26-24.

Nation Ford is 1-0- in the region. Clover is 4-4 overall and 0-1 in region play.
