High school roundup: Northwestern softball rolls JL Mann

The Northwestern softball team got 12 hits and toppled J.L. Mann 16-7 in the first round of the Class 4A softball playoffs Thursday at Northwestern.

Kori Wancheck picked up the win. She pitched a complete game, striking out 10, and allowing no earned runs.

Rachel Marion’s three-run home run led the Northwestern attack.

Clover improved to 16-9 with the victory.
