The Clover softball team won the Class 4A District II title with a win over Lugoff-Elgin at Clover.
The Blue Eagles will open play in the Upper State tournament on Saturday at home against Fort Mill.
Fort Mill 5, Laurens 1 (Game 1): Bella Roy pitched a complete game and the Yellow Jackets forced a second game with a win over the Raiders in a Class 4A playoff contest at Laurens.
Roy struck out seven and helped her own cause by getting a pair of hits. Lauren Collie led the Fort Mill offense with three hits.

Fort Mill 4, Laurens 1 (Game 2): The Yellow Jackets claimed the District I championship.
Taylor Rayborn gave the Yellow Jackets a 1-0 lead with a solo home run in the second inning. Peyton Lemire made it 2-0 with a solo shot in the fifth frame.
Laurens scored in the bottom of the sixth to cut the deficit to 2-1. The Yellow Jackets added a pair of insurance runs in the top of the seventh, and held on for the win.
Chapman 8, Chester 6: Abbey Cheek’s two-run home run in the bottom of the eighth gave the Panthers a win over the Cyclones in the Class 3A playoffs at Chapman.
Chester led 6-0 after four innings, but the Panthers scored four in the fifth and two more in the seventh to tie the game.
Tamara Graham led the Cyclones with a pair of hits.
The loss ends the season for the Cyclones.
Northwestern 4, Hillcrest 1: The Trojans remained unbeaten in the Class 4A playoffs and captured the District II title with a win over the Rams at Northwestern.
Eric Taylor picked up the victory for the Trojans. He led the Northwestern offense with a solo home run.
Northwestern will take on T.L. Hanna on Saturday at home in the first round of the Upper State tournament.
It marks the fifth time in the last six years that coach Mitch Walters’ team has played in the Upper State tournament.
Lewisville 3, St. Joseph’s 2: The Lions scored in the bottom of the tenth to claim the District II title at Richburg.
Tate Stevens drove in Denver Moseley with the winning run. Moseley doubled to open the 10th for the Lions.
St. Joseph’s took a 1-0 lead after one inning, but the Lions battled back and tied the score in the sixth.
Drew Colvin turned in an outstanding performance on the mound for the Lions. He worked nine innings allowing only one earned run and striking out 14.
Coach Billy Keels’ team will open the Upper State tournament at home on Saturday at 3 p.m against Fox Creek, which is the top-ranked team in 1A.
Walhalla 12, Chester 5: The Razorbacks eliminated the Cyclones from the Class 3A playoffs with a win at Chester.
Indian Land 4, Buford 0: The second-seeded Warriors advanced to the third round of the Class 2A playoffs with a win over the Yellow Jackets at Indian Land.
It was the second straight shutout win in the playoffs for Indian Land.
The Warriors led 2-0 at halftime, outshooting Buford 15-3. Kailee Erwin led the Warriors on offense with two goals. Emma Thompson worked in the net for Indian Land. She had three saves.
Indian Land improved to 16-3-3 with the win.
