Sisk leads Lewisville past Fox Creek in Class A state baseball playoffs
Evan Sisk tossed a four hitter and held Fox Creek scoreless as Lewisville won its opening game of the Class A Upper State baseball playoffs., 8-0.
Lewisville advances to play Christ Church on Monday in Greenville. Christ Church defeated McBee.
Sisk, who will attend the College of Charleston next year on a baseball scholarship, struck out seven as for his sixth win of the season against three losses.
Lewisville, now 18-7, scored all of its runs in the fourth and fifth inning.
In the fourth, Drew Stewart and singled to score two runs. Tate Stevens added another run-scoring single for a 3-0 lead.
In the fifth, Austin Bradshaw had the big hit, a two-out triple to score three runs. Andrew Culp accounted for the other run with a RBI single.
Sisk and Tate both went 2-for-3 at the plate for Lewisville.
Fox Creek, 20-3, falls to the losers bracket where it will face McBee.
