American Legion baseball playoffs start Monday

Rock Hill Post 34 opens the American Legion baseball playoffs Monday night against Greer.

Post 34 is one of four League 5 teams that will host in the first round, with a 7 p.m. opening pitch at South Pointe High School. The same night, Rock Hill Post 34’s junior legion team is hosting Williamson at 7:30 p.m., at Rock Hill High School.

All five of the teams in American Legion baseball’s League 5 made the postseason and will be playing Monday night. York hosts Greenville, Lancaster hosts Walhalla, while Clover travels to Greenwood. Fort Mill, which won the League 5 regular season championship, hosts Spartanburg.

Senior legion series are best-of-five; junior legion series are best-of-three.
