This week’s winner for the Herald’s Athlete of the Week is...

Alex Fogle!

The Patriots’ senior posted a time of 19:33 to win the York Prep 5K race at Kettlesong in Rock Hill on Sept. 15.

Fogle, a three-year team captain, was 41 seconds faster than the runner-up in the race.

This week’s winner for Herald Football Player of the Week is...

Daquan Evans!

The 5-foot-9, 185 freshman middle linebacker had 10 tackles, including three for loss and a sack in a 40-0 win at Ridge Spring Monetta on Sept. 16.

Evans’ efforts helped Lewisville stay perfect at 5-0 this season.
