Rock Hill, South Pointe square off in football season opener

South Pointe scored 21 points off four Rock Hill turnovers to beat the Bearcats 35-13 in their Week 1 matchup.

Stallion quarterback Malachi Marshall threw two touchdown passes, while the Stallion defense intercepted Bearcat quarterback Matthew Wilson three times.

Wilson threw a pair of long touchdown passes for Rock Hill in the second half: a 65-yard touchdown to Kamari Moore with seven minutes left in the third quarter and a 79-yard touchdown to EJ Ratley with just over ten minutes left in the game.
