Rock Hill High swimmer sets career bests to win The Herald’s Athlete of the Week

The Bearcats’ freshman swam season-best and state consideration times as she finished third in the 100 freestyle (1:00.59) and fifth in the 50 freestyle (28.04) in a meet with Andrew Jackson, Catawba Ridge and York, Sept. 12.

McCall also swam season-best and state consideration times in finishing fifth in both the 100 backstroke (1:11.34) and 100 butterfly (1:11.64) in a meet with Nation Ford, Riverwalk Academy and Spring Valley, Sept. 14.
