Legion Collegiate’s Jaylen McMurray, a 5-foot-6 sophomore, is The Herald’s athlete of the week.

She scored 25 points, had 12 rebounds and seven steals to lead the Lancers to a 55-17 win at York Prep, Dec. 8.

McMurray also had 10 points, six rebounds and two steals in a 52-39 loss at Charlotte Country Day.

McMurray scored eight points to go with six rebounds and four steals in a 49-34 victory over Christ the King.

McMurray is averaging 12 points, six rebounds and four steals per game for Legion Collegiate (3-3) this season.
