Below are the nominees for The Herald’s high school athlete of the week.

Lance Barnes, Catawba Ridge Basketball: The 6-foot-3 sophomore scored 24 points, had three rebounds, two assists and four steals in an 87-43 victory at York, Jan. 12.
Barnes also had nine points, six assists, three rebounds and two steals in a 65-46 win over South Pointe, Jan. 11.
Barnes is averaging 18 points, 4.5 rebounds, 4.8 assists and 2.9 steals per game for Catawba Ridge (15-2) this season.
Nas Berry, Fort Mill Basketball: The 6-foot-1 junior scored 22 points, had three rebounds and four assists in a 58-48 win over Blythewood, Jan. 10.
Berry also scored 10 points, had two rebounds, two assists and three steals in a 59-36 victory over Rock Hill, Jan. 12.
Berry is averaging 12.3 points, 3.2 assists, 2.9 rebounds and 1.8 steals per game for a Fort Mill team (12-6) that has won six consecutive games.
Zeke Clyburn, Andrew Jackson Basketball: The 6-foot-5 sophomore scored 21 points and had 16 rebounds in a 53-39 victory at Marlboro County, Jan. 13.
Clyburn is averaging 11.7 points and 9.2 rebounds for Andrew Jackson (12-3) this season.
De’Ashaj Crawford, Rock Hill Girls’ Basketball: The 5-foot-6 senior scored 20 points to go with four rebounds, four assists and two steals in a 61-53 win over Spring Valley, Jan. 10.
Crawford scored 19 points, had five rebounds, three assists and three steals in a 52-30 victory at Fort Mill, Jan. 12.
Crawford capped off the week with 23 points, six rebounds, two assists and three steals in a 59-27 win at Denmark Olar, Jan. 13.
Crawford is averaging 16.2 points, 4.1 rebounds, 3.5 assists and three steals for a Rock Hill team (15-3) that has won nine straight games.
Victoria “Star” Morris, South Pointe Girls’ Basketball: The 5-foot-11 senior scored 21 points, had 14 rebounds and three blocks in a 87-36 win at Catawba Ridge, Jan. 11.
Morris also scored 16 points and had 14 rebounds in a 64-49 victory over A.C. Flora in the MLK Bash in Columbia, Jan. 13.
Morris is averaging 16.1 points, 11.2 rebounds and 3.3 steals per game for a South Pointe team (14-2) that has won 12 straight games this season.
Clara Powell, Clover Girls’ Basketball: The 5-foot-10 sophomore scored 18 points, grabbed four rebounds, had one assist and one steal in a 63-44 win at Nation Ford, Jan. 10.
Powell is averaging 8.6 points, 4.1 rebounds, 1.4 assists, and 1.4 steals per game for Clover (12-4) this season.
Sincere Rasul, Indian Land Basketball: The 6-foot-2 senior scored 15 points and had six rebounds, four steals and an assist in a 49-48 win over Northwestern, Jan. 11.
Rasul followed that up with 21 points, four rebounds, four assists and three steals in an 88-69 victory over East Rutherford, Jan. 13.
Rasul is averaging 13.8 points, 2.1 rebounds, 3.1 steals and 1.6 assists per game for Indian Land (13-4) this season.
Amelia Williams, Legion Collegiate Girls’ Basketball: The Lancers’ freshman scored 24 points in a 46-39 loss to Gray Collegiate Academy, Jan. 11.
Williams is averaging 15.1 points per game for Legion Collegiate (3-7) this season.
