Northwestern football’s Kyle Robinson is The Herald’s high school athlete of the week

Northwestern High football player Kyle Robinson is The Herald’s high school athlete of the week.

Robinson won a week-long vote among readers to win the award.

A 5-foot-10, 185-pound senior linebacker, Robinson had 10 tackles and two sacks in a 28-14 win at South Pointe Sept. 13.

Through four games, Robinson had 24 tackles and 2.5 sacks for Northwestern (5-0).

Note: A glitch in polling software caused voting to remain open longer than prescribed on Friday. Robinson was leading at noon — when polling is set to conclude each week — and was declared the winner.
