Kam McFadden, Northwestern football: The 6-foot, 200-pound middle linebacker had 10 tackles, one fumble recovery and two quarterback pressures in a 45-14 win over rival Rock Hill on Oct. 17.

Damias Seegars, Andrew Jackson football: The 5-foot-11, 175-pound senior running back/defensive back and punter had a strong all-around performance in 21-20 win over Central Pageland on Oct. 17.

Seegars had 19 rushes for 62 yards and two rushing touchdowns, while catching three passes for 41 yards.

Seegars also had six tackles, forced three fumbles and had two fumble recoveries, including the game-winning recovery at the Andrew Jackson 2.

Seegars also had six punts, averaging 35 yards per punt, including two downed punts inside the 20-yard line and two downed inside the 10.

This season, Seegars has 344 yards rushing and eight touchdowns and he has caught seven passes for 144 yards and another score. On defense, Seegars has 30 tackles, an interception, three forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries and is averaging 35 yards per punt for Andrew Jackson (5-3).

Quentin Watts, Lancaster cross-country: The Bruins’ senior clocked 18:45 to win the Lancaster County championship by nearly 35 seconds at his home course on Oct. 18.

Watts ran a personal-best 17:19.66 at the Wendy’s Invitational in at McAlpine Creek Park in Charlotte on Oct. 4.
