Amarian Coleman, Northwestern football: The 6-foot-2, 190-pound senior outside linebacker had eight tackles, an interception and one pass breakup in a 42-7 win over Catawba Ridge in the second round of the 5A Division II state playoffs on Nov. 14.

Coleman has 43 tackles, two interceptions and 10 pass breakups for Northwestern (10-1) this season.

Matt Kucia, Indian Land football: The 6-foot-2, 175-pound sophomore quarterback went 12 for 16 passing for 245 yards and two touchdowns in a 40-10 win over Hillcrest in the second round of the 5A Division II playoffs on Nov. 14.

Kucia has passed for 2,310 yards and 20 touchdowns for Indian Land (10-1) this season.

M.J. Littlejohn, Westminster Catawba basketball: The 6-foot-6 senior scored 17 points, had three rebounds and a block in a 70-44 win over the Cabarrus Stallions on Nov. 11.

Littlejohn also had six points in a 75-57 win over Spartanburg Day on Nov. 14.

Littlejohn is averaging 12 points per game for Westminster Catawba (3-0) this season.

Ella Nighbor, Clover cross-country: The Blue Eagles’ senior ran a time of 17:37.78 to win the 5A Division I state title at the Aiken Steeplechase on Nov. 15.

Nighbor’s run also helped Clover to a 5A Division I state championship, beating the field by 19 points at the same meet.

Hunter Willis, Riverwalk Academy cross-country: The Lions’ freshman ran a time of 18:00.68 to win the 1A state championship at the Aiken Steeplechase on Nov. 14.

Willis also led Riverwalk Academy to a 1A state runner-up finish at the same meet.
