BASEBALL

Cheraw 6, Indian Land 0: The Cheraw Braves made the most of three hits and took advantage of three Indian Land errors to defeat the Warriors 6-0 in a Region 4-2A game at Indian Land Tuesday night. Tristan Campbell pitched five innings for the Braves and got the win. Nolan Bolt took the loss for the Warriors.

Lewisville 7, North Central 3: The Lewisville Lions exploded for five runs in the second inning and went on to beat the North Central Knights 7-3 in a non-region contest at Richburg Monday night. Andrew Culp worked five innings to pick up the win for the Lions. He struck out five and walked only two. The Lions outburst in the second frame was helped along with four walks and key hits by Austin McCall and Garrison Hyatt.

Katherine Kilroy and Nia Pressley led the Warriors with two goals each. Kailee Evans, Regan Hunter, and Lelsey Long each had one goal for Indian Land. Kilroy, Long, Emily Gerdes, and Hailey Haverman each had an assist for the Warriors, now 7-0 on the year. Emma Thompson and Abby Chamberlin combined in the net for the shutout.

Buford 3, Chester 2: The Buford Yellow Jackets overcame a 2-1 deficit at halftime and edged the Chester Cyclones 3-2 in a non-region match at Chester. Ren Beam and Deja Marshall each scored a goal for the Cyclones, while Abby Gulish recorded an assist.

Lancaster 159, Fort Mill 162: The Lancaster Bruins edged the Fort Mill Yellow Jackets 159-162 in a non-region match at Lancaster Golf Club. Michael Williams of Lancaster and Cam Marshall of Fort Mill tied for medalist honors with rounds of 38.
