Nation Ford boys trio, Fort Mill’s Haley get top state soccer nods

Seven locals from three schools were named All-State over the weekend by the South Carolina High School Soccer Coaches Association.

Nation Ford’s senior trio of Blake Baker, Michael Smith and Kevin Garces made the cut for the 4A boys’ team.

Fort Mill’s Kimber Haley was the lone 4A girl selected.

Indian Land’s Bailey Penegar and Katherine Kilroy and sophomore Emily Gerdes all made the 2A girls’ team.
