Lewisville and Great Falls drop Wednesday high school football contests
Lewisville dropped its first game of the season, falling to Buford 38-20 Wednesday night.
Lewisville trailed 25-6 at the half, but Quentin Sanders returned the second half kickoff for a touchdown to cut into the deficit. The Lions never got any closer to Buford, which beat Indian Land last week. Lewisville (2-1) and Will Mitchell host Whitmire Sept. 8.
Great Falls 0-2 after Blackville-Hilda loss
Great Falls led visiting Blackville-Hilda 14-6 after a pair of Kelton Talford touchdown catches, but ran out of juice in the second half of a 46-14 loss. Great Falls (0-2) and Lewisville moved their games up to Wednesday from originally-scheduled Friday dates. Scotty Steen and the Red Devils face Ware Shoals on the road Sept. 8.
