Reporters see a lot visiting and talking with coaches in their offices. You glance around and soak up the surroundings while they take a quick phone call or talk to a player or assistant coach that walked in unannounced. It catalogs in your mind, some of it interesting, most of it inane. Sometimes you bring up what you notice, mostly you don’t.

Nation Ford coach Michael Allen has plenty on his plate after the Falcons started the season 0-2. But he graciously took some time to let The Herald snoop around his working domain, take some pictures, video and audio and learn more, much more, about the longtime football coach, husband and father.
