South Pointe 60, Richland Northeast 0

The South Pointe Stallions jumped to a 22-0 lead after one quarter and routed Richland Northeast 60-0 in a Region 3-4A game at Richland Northeast Friday night.

The Stallions dominated the game on both sides of the ball from the opening play.

Tahleek Steele passed to O’mega Blake on a 27-yard play for quick 7-0 South Pointe lead with 10:11 remaining in the first period. After the Stallions recorded a safety, Quan Peterson returned the ensuing free kick 54 yards for a score and a 15-0 advantage with 9:50 left in the period. Nygel Moore scored less than four minutes later on a seven-yard run and it was 22-0.

Quay Chambers scored on a seven-yard run, Steele passed to Waymond Jenerette on a 21-yard play, Colin Karhu kicked a 33-yard field goal, and Blake returned a punt 45 yards for a score. That was the scoring in the second quarter, and the Stallions were up 46-0 at halftime.

South Pointe scored two more touchdowns in the third period for a 60-0 lead. Chambers got the first score on a 16-yard run midway through the quarter, and Moore raced in from 17 yards out for the second touchdown.

South Pointe is 8-0 overall and 3-0 in the region.

Camden 28, Chester 7

Camden took a 13-0 lead at halftime and defeated the Chester Cyclones 28-7 in a Region 4-3A battle at Camden Friday night.

Willis Lane scampered 53 yards to give Camden a 6-0 lead after one period. They added a second score in the second quarter to take a 13-0 advantage. Jaffari Pearson hit Landon Goodwin on a 12-yard pass play for the score with 13 seconds left in the first half.

After a scoreless third quarter, the Cyclones tallied to cut the deficit to 13-7. Stan Mills scored on a 15-yard run with 6:45 to play in the period. The Cyclones’ drive covered 65 yards and required six snaps.

Camden countered. Pearson scored from six yards out and the two-point conversion made it 21-7 with 4:40 to play in the game.

The Cyclones drove inside the Camden five-yard line on their next possession. Mills passed to Jarel Hill on a 49-yard play to set up a first and goal. The drive ended when Chester fumbled into the end zone and Camden recovered.

Camden took over, drove the length of the field, and scored with 55 seconds remaining in the contest.

Chester is 7-2 overall and 2-1 in the region. Camden is 7-1 in all games and 1-1 in region play.

Indian Land 47, Keenan 14

The Indian Land Warriors pulled away in the fourth quarter and toppled Keenan 47-14 in a Region 4-3A game at Keenan Friday night.

The Warriors led 13-0 after one period and upped the count to 26-6 at intermission. Keenan scored in the third period to cut the deficit to 26-14 when it was over. Indian Land regrouped and scored three touchdowns in the fourth quarter to win going away.

The Warriors are 4-5 overall and 1-1 in the region.

McBee 56, Great Falls 7

McBee scored in every quarter and defeated the Great Falls Red Devils 56-7 in the Region 2A opener for both teams at McBee Friday night.

McBee was up 14-0 midway through the opening period and never looked back. At halftime they were in front 29-0. When the third quarter was over, McBee led 42-7, and they tacked on two more touchdowns in the final session.

Great Falls is 4-3 overall and 0-1 in region play.
