Here are The Herald’s Athlete and Football Players of the Week

The seventh-grader won 10-3 in a third-set tiebreaker at No. 1 singles and won her doubles’ match 6-2, 6-1 to help Nation Ford to 4-3 win over Clover to clinch the Region III, 5A title, Oct. 11.

Baldino also won 6-2, 6-2 at No. 1 singles as Nation Ford beat Catawba Ridge, 5-1, Oct. 13.

Baldino is 7-6 in singles’ play for Nation Ford (9-1) this season.

The Herald’s Football Player of the Week is...

The 6-foot, 165-pound quarterback went 13-for-20 for 271 yards passing and five touchdowns in a 56-6 win over Great Falls, Oct. 14.

Lewisville is 7-1 overall this season.
