Rock Hill Herald Football Players of the Week Nominees
Elijah Farmer, Clover Football: The 5-foot-10, 193-pound senior running back ran for 112 yards and a touchdown on 15 carries to lead Clover to a 52-34 win over Rock Hill, Oct. 28.
Farmer has rushed for 544 yards and two touchdowns on 117 carries for Clover (6-4) this season.
Malachi Jefferson, Indian Land Football: The 5-foot-11, 255-pound sophomore defensive lineman had 10 tackles in a 35-14 win at Lancaster, Oct. 28.
Jefferson also had 44 yards rushing and two touchdowns as a running back on offense in the same game for the Warriors (6-4).
Jordan Knox, Northwestern Football: The 6-foot-5, 295-pound senior left tackle graded out at 89 percent, with three knockdown blocks, while allowing no sacks in a 28-23 win over Catawba Ridge, Oct. 28.
Northwestern (9-1) rushed for 277 yards and three touchdowns on 46 carries, averaging 5.8 yards per carry in the Catawba Ridge victory.
Kolby Waters, Andrew Jackson Football: The 5-foot-11, 206-pound senior linebacker had 10 tackles, one pass break-up, and the game-clinching interception to lead Andrew Jackson to a 30-27 win at Buford, Oct. 28.
The victory gave Andrew Jackson (8-2, 5-0 in Region V, AA) their first region title since 1982.
