Notebook: Nation Ford defense proves shutout wasn’t a fluke
Nation Ford produced back-to-back shutouts for the first time in the school’s nine-year football history.
The Falcons blanked Lugoff-Elgin 43-0 two weeks ago, but their 55-0 shutout Friday of Greenville was even more impressive.
The Falcons’ last shutout came in the 2012 season opener, a 38-0 win against Forestview (N.C.). Before that, the Falcons blanked Lewisville twice for the only other defensive goose eggs in the program’s history.
Nation Ford is 13-0 all-time when scoring at least 40 points.
