Michael Cartwright, York: The 5-foot-8, 225-pound offensive guard graded 85 percent with eight knockdown blocks during York’s 31-12 win over Rock Hill on Friday. Cartwright started the season at tackle, filling in for injured starter Danny Warren, before shifting to the line’s interior. Cartwright, in his first year of varsity football, is also a volunteer fireman in his spare time. He helped the Cougars pick up 286 yards on the ground against Rock Hill.

The Bruins picked up 289 yards on the ground during a 42-12 win over Lewisville. The 6-foot-1, 240-pound Banks allowed zero sacks and graded out 88 percent. Offensive assistant coach Joe Watson said Banks “loves to play ball.”
