Top 10 local college football players’ performances from the weekend of Oct. 24
Abri Tate, Bryant- Nation Ford’s Tate made seven tackles with two for a loss during Bryant’s 26-24 win over Saint Francis.
Mason Rudolph, Oklahoma State- Northwestern Shrine Bowler and state champ had a tidy outing during Oklahoma State’s 58-10 win over Kansas. Rudolph completed 20-of-26 passes for 305 yards and a touchdown. The Cowboys have now cracked the top-10 in national polls.
Jerome Pettiway, South Carolina State- former York Cougar hit seven punts during the Bulldogs’ 34-7 win over Delaware State, with four downed inside the 20 and a long of 53.
Tay Hicklin, Georgia Southern- South Pointe grad made eight tackles in Georgia Southern’s 31-13 loss to Appalachian State last Thursday. Hicklin started at free safety.
Ervin Moore, Concord University (W.Va.)- Lancaster’s Moore made six stops with a tackle-for-loss during Concord’s loss to Shepherd.
Nick Raszeja, LaGrange (Ga.)- Fort Mill’s Rasezja made a game-high and season-high 13 tackles during LaGrange’s 27-24 win over Ferrum.
Andre Foulks, Wingate- senior from York made a game-high 14 tackles and recorded a quarterback hurry during the Bulldogs’ 41-38 loss to Carson-Newman. Foulks’ 14 stops is a season-high and he has double-digit tackles in three of his last four contests.
Desmond Leak, Union College (Ky.)- true freshman from Northwestern made a season-high five tackles during Union’s 45-38 loss to Kentucky Christian.
Corey Dover, Newberry- former York Cougar made six tackles, including one for a loss, and broke up a pass during the Wolves’ 41-7 South Atlantic Conference win over Brevard.
Jatavius Stewart, William Penn (Iowa)- Stewart, the former Rock Hill High standout, made two catches for 47 yards and a touchdown during William Penn’s 73-20 win over Culver-Stockton. Stewart also returned a pair of kickoffs for a combined 106 yards.

Tyrell Curry, Eastern Kentucky- Rock Hill High’s Curry made four tackles and broke up a pass during Eastern Kentucky’s 45-21 win over Tennessee State.
Devin Starnes, Tusculum- South Pointe’s Starnes made eight tackles during Tusculum’s 45-11 win over Limestone.
Akiven Williams, Apprentice School- Williams made two tackles, including one for a loss, during the Apprentice School’s 17-6 loss to Bluefield College.
Logan Ard, Limestone- South Pointe graduate hit a 40-yard field goal during the Saints’ loss to Tusculum.
Corey Neely, Marshall- South Pointe grad made a tackle and split a tackle-for-loss during the Thundering Herd’s 30-13 win over North Texas.
Arthur Williams, Pikeville (Ky.)- Lancaster’s Williams made five stops during NAIA Pikeville’s 48-29 loss to Cumberlands.
Zeek Rodney, Wake Forest- South Pointe’s Rodney made a tackle during Wake Forest’s 35-17 loss to N.C. State.
Rod Byers, Clemson- Northwestern’s Byers made a pair of tackles during Clemson’s 58-0 blowout of Miami.
Ty Currence, Limestone- York Cougar made a pair of tackles during Limeston’s 45-11 loss to Tusculum.
Quadarius Fair, Grossmont College (Calif.)- Northwestern’s Fair made three grabs for 32 yards during Grossmont’s loss to Fullerton College.
Lee Wright, Youngstown State- York’s Wright made five tackles during the Penguins’ 38-31 overtime loss to Southern Illinois.
Devin Pearson, Charlotte- Pearson made five tackles but the South Pointe Stallion couldn’t prevent Charlotte from falling 44-10 to Southern Miss.
Anthony Johnson, Iowa Western Community College- South Pointe’s Johnson made one catch for 10 yards and returned a pair of kickoffs 37 yards during the Reivers’ win over Hutchinson.
Nate Casey, Davidson- Westminster Catawba’s Casey made five tackles but Marist beat Davidson 31-10.
Jaleel Scott, Ellsworth Community College (Iowa)- Rock Hill High’s Scott made three catches for 50 yards during the Panthers’ 28-22 win over Iowa Central.
Chris Bouyer, East Tennessee State- Northwestern’s Bouyer made three tackles but East Tennessee State lost 63-7 at Montana State.
Mitchell Jeter, The Citadel- The Citadel improved to 5-2 with a 38-17 win over Furman, and Jeter, the Rock Hill High product, made three tackles, with a half tackle for loss.
Russell Hubbs, The Citadel- Northwestern’s Hubbs made three tackles during The Citadel’s big win over Furman.
