Hawgs of the Week: Indian Land’s Williams and Nation Ford’s Smith

Chandler Smith, Nation Ford: The 6-foot-4, 315-pound senior offensive tackle graded out 89 percent during the Falcons’ 56-20 win over Clover last Friday. Smith helped keep Nation Ford quarterback Cole Martin off the ground, as the senior passer threw for 500 yards for the second time this season. Smith loves to play golf and is active in his youth group.

Jacob Williams, Indian Land: A repeat Hawg of the Week winner, Williams successfully carried out 43 of his 45 assignments during last Friday’s blowout of Andrew Jackson, a 95 percent grade-out. The senior center, who has started 33 games since his sophomore year, also threw in three pancake blocks. Williams earned a 1400 on the SAT and is ranked 24th academically in his class.
