Foster, Tinsley lead Lancaster Bruins over Indian Land
Ant Foster and Cordarious Tinsley scored three touchdowns apiece to lead the Lancaster Bruins to a 47-10 win over Indian Land in Friday’s season opener at the Reservation.
Indian Land and Lancaster were playing each other for the first time in a regular season game, despite existing in the same county. Foster, who rushed for over 1,300 yards as a junior, scored on runs of 62 and 5 yards in the first quarter, before adding a 5-yard scoring run in the fourth quarter for the 1-0 Bruins.
Tinsley, a senior wideout, scored on a 28-yard reception early in the second quarter, and scored again on a 48-yard reception later in the period. He ran 40 yards for another touchdown to give the Bruins a 34-10 lead at the half.
On deck: Indian Land hosts Buford next week, while Lancaster takes next week off before looking for win No. 2 on Sept. 2 at home against Fort Mill.
