Richmond, VA -- The Charlotte Knights beat the Richmond Braves 1-0 Sunday at The Diamond.
Lance Broadway pitched eight scoreless innings to lead the Knights to their third straight win over Richmond.
Former Brave Jason Bourgeois provided the game's only offense by drilling a home run over the fence in left with one out in the eighth inning.
The Braves, held to two singles, did not advance a runner past second base and hit into two double plays.
Broadway allowed both hits and walked one. He struck out six while earning his eighth win of the season. David Aardsma pitched the ninth to notch a save. Royce Ring took the loss.
Braves starter Jeff Bennett tossed five scoreless innings. Phil Stockman struck out four in two innings and Zach Schreiber struck out the side in the ninth for Richmond.
Bourgeois had two of Charlotte's seven hits.
• MINOR LEAGUE NOTES -- The Syracuse Chiefs couldn't catch a break Sunday night. They couldn't catch anything, actually.
The Toronto Blue Jays' Triple-A affiliate made 10 errors, matching the most in the International League in 43 years. No surprise, Syracuse lost to Ottawa 12-10 in 10 innings.
