Stephon Gilmore nabbed his third interception of the season Monday against the New England Patriots, but couldn’t prevent his Buffalo Bills from losing 20-13.

Gilmore made one tackle and broke up two passes before intercepting Tom Brady early in the fourth quarter. A deep pass near the end zone was popped up in the air by teammate Corey Graham, allowing the former South Pointe star to run under the ball for an easy pick.

“I was running with my guy and I turned my head around,” Gilmore said after the game. “Corey (Graham) made a good play to knock it out of the receiver’s hand and tip it up. I was in the right place to pick it off.”

Jonathan Meeks, Buffalo: Another week and another two tackles for Meeks, the former Rock Hill High Bearcat who is making his way on the Bills’ special teams. Meeks made both of his tackles on punt coverage in the second half. After Bills’ punt returner Leodis McKelvin fumbled, New England’s Jonathan Freeny recovered, only for Meeks to pop him and force another fumble. Fortunately for the Patriots, the ball bounced out of bounds before possession changed hands.

Johnathan Joseph, Houston: Northwestern graduate made two tackles and broke up two passes during the Texans’ 24-17 win over the New York Jets. Joseph graded well according to Pro Football Focus, earning a plus-3.3, one of his best grades of the season. Joseph left the game with an injured knee, but downplayed it Monday saying it was just a bruise.

Jadeveon Clowney, Houston: Clowney returned from injury against the Jets, making two tackles, sharing a sack with John Simon, breaking up a pass and recording a QB hit. According to Pro Football Focus, Clowney only played eight defensive snaps against the run, freeing him up to do what he does best: attack the quarterback. The former South Pointe standout had five quarterback pressures to go with the shared sack and QB hit, and he earned a plus-5.3 grade from the Pro Football Focus web site, one of the best for outside linebackers last week.

Cordarrelle Patterson, Minnesota: A week after returning a kickoff for a touchdown, Patterson nearly broke another one, ending up with a 52-yard run-back during the Vikings’ loss to Green Bay. The former Northwestern star returned three kicks for a combined 103 yards.

Justin Worley, Chicago: The former Northwestern quarterback standout signed with the Bears on Tuesday and was added to the practice squad. The Bears cut Jimmy Clausen and promoted David Fales from the practice squad, leaving a QB vacancy that will now be filled by Worley. He initially tried out with the Bears in late September after spending the preseason with several teams, including the Saints.

Phillip Adams, Atlanta: Rock Hill’s Adams was inactive for the Falcons’ game Sunday versus the Colts.

Vance Walker, Denver: Fort Mill High grad was inactive for the Broncos’ win over Chicago due to a shoulder injury.
