Lancaster man dies after being shot multiple times, coroner says
A Lancaster man died after being shot multiple times Tuesday, according to officials.
Yusuf Abdus Salaam, 32, of Downey Drive in Lancaster, died of multiple gunshot wounds, according to the Lancaster County Coroner’s Office.
The shooting happened around 7:30 p.m. on the 300 block of Hampton Road, according to Capt. Scott Grant, a Lancaster police spokesman. Salaam was found at the home, “gravely injured” from the incident, Grant said. He later died at a hospital.
No arrests have been made.
“Investigators are hard at work gathering further information concerning this incident,” Grant said.
This is the third shooting in Lancaster County since Sunday.
A 19-year-old was charged in the Sunday shooting death of a murder defendant who was awaiting a retrial of his case, and police are still searching for leads in the shooting of two people Monday night.
