Man charged in sex assault at Rock Hill party
A Rock Hill teenager was charged Tuesday with raping a woman at a party last month, according to Rock Hill police.
Tylik Simril, 17, of Greenbriar Avenue, was charged with third-degree criminal sexual conduct, according to jail records.
Simril is accused in a sex assault that happened June 24 at a party in Rock Hill, according to a police report. The female victim told officers she was extremely intoxicated, and when she asked to go to a bathroom, two unidentified men escorted her to a bedroom in the house.
The two men sexually assaulted the woman in the bedroom, police said. One of the suspects told the other that they should leave because the victim was crying.
No other arrests have been made, and it wasn’t clear Wednesday if the second suspect had been identified.
