Wild Wing Cafe in Rock Hill is closing for good.

The company posted on its Facebook page Monday that it “made the decision to close our doors permanently.” The post referred diners to other locations in Gastonia and University Center in Charlotte.

Wild Wing opened in late 2021 at the former Mellow Mushroom spot in front of Regal Manchester movie theater. It joined a long list of area chicken restaurants in Rock Hill and Fort Mill — to include places like Chicken Salad Chix, Super Chix, Slim Chickens, VooDoo Wing Co. and plans for eateries like Bossy Beulah’s and Bojangles.

The Charlotte Observer reported in February the former Ayrsley location also closed and wouldn’t reopen.
