Charlotte’s food scene is heating up with another popular burger joint: Shake Shack.

The New York-based restaurant known for its burgers and crinkle-cut fries, has officially opened its new location at Charlotte Premium Outlets.

“We look forward to adding another delicious dining option at the mall for our visitors to enjoy,” Scott Anderson, director of marketing and business development at the shopping center, previously said. “Not only are Shake Shack’s burgers incredible, but they’re the perfect option to have during a long day of shopping.”

Shake Shack, which was originally founded 20 years ago, has hundreds of locations all over the world, including several in the area — with this being the eighth in North Carolina.

The fast casual food spot — designed as a “modern-day roadside burger stand” — entered the Charlotte Market in 2018 with its Park Road Shopping Center location. It now has stores at Blakeney shopping center, on Camden Road in South End, at Charlotte Douglas International Airport and at Birkdale Landing in Huntersville.

You can get a taste of Shake Shack’s classic made-to-order burgers, crispy chicken, hand-spun milkshakes, house-made lemonades, beer, wine, and more at the new location near the entrance of the shopping center besides Saks Off 5th.
