A look inside Charlotte’s newest sports lounge, opening soon in South End
There’s a new spot in town for Charlotte sports fans. After much anticipation, a new sports lounge called Blinders is opening in South End on Thursday, March 20.
Designed like a Las Vegas-style sportsbook with the energy of a sports bar and the design aesthetic of a cocktail lounge, you’ll be able to catch multiple games and events on what’s being touted as the largest screen on the East Coast — with a 40-foot-long bar and outdoor patio.
“We wanted to add a bit of variety to what Charlotte has to offer and so, ultimately, just trying to create a new type of viewing experience for people, whether you like sports or not. We just wanted to offer something new,” Kush Anandani, director for OmShera Holdings, the group behind the concept, previously told CharlotteFive.
And what’s a good game without good food? Taking a “gourmet approach” to traditional sports bar bites,” Blinders will have wings, flatbreads and baked pretzels, along with barbacoa nachos, tater tot poutine, pizza rolls, funnel cake fries and banh mi pork belly sliders.
Here’s a look inside at the concept’s space and menu items:
